Mycroft Mind Receives €10 Million Funding to Develop Embedded Energy Intelligence Technology

Brno-based technology company Mycroft Mind, a member of the TTC Group, has achieved significant success in a key European IPCEI ME/CT project focused on the microelectronics and communications technology sector. Under the Ministry of Industry and Trade´s National Recovery Plan, it has received the financial support of 10 million Euro of EU funding to develop its embedded energy intelligence technology. Mycroft Mind will thus significantly contribute to a more sustainable and effective energy future, as well as strengthen the position of the Czech Republic and Europe in the microelectronics sector.

The aim of Mycroft Mind´s project is to create embedded self-learning modules for the prediction of energy flows and behaviour of consumers and producers, including their anticipated responses to different situations in the dynamic energy market. Modules with specific “Machine Learning Algorithms” enable the system to operate requiring very low memory and computing power requirements, operating in sensors with low performance and limited operational memory. The unique capability of Mycroft Mind´s solution is its ability to autonomously learn directly in its sensors, as each sensor adapts independently to the behaviour of the environment in which it has been installed.

Mycroft Mind´s involvement in the IPCEI ME/CT project will create a specialized Czech team who will be engaged in the field of design and implementation of embedded energy intelligence. Mycroft Mind is also actively seeking opportunities for continued partnership with manufacturers of devices and sensors used in energy and other industries. The first products utilizing the embedded energy intelligence technology should be launched on the market next year.
